Macaulay Culkin’s sister, Dakota, died yesterday, after being struck by a car.

In what Macaulay’s rep calls “a terrible, tragic accident,” the 30-year-old was walking in L.A. when she stepped off the curb and was hit by a car. She was taken to the UCLA Medical Center where she died of her injuries yesterday afternoon.

The LAPD tells ET that a little before 11 p.m. Dakota stepped in front of a vehicle going North on Lincoln Blvd. near Jefferson Way in West LA. She was taken to UCLA with massive head trauma and passed away at 12:45 p.m.

We’re told that the driver stopped to help and stayed until authorities arrived. Detectives determined the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and that no crime was committed.
